Cause

The YWCA opened its doors in 1897 to provide housing and services to women coming to Vancouver in search of education or employment. With 125 years of experience helping women and families realize their full potential, the YWCA is now one of Metro Vancouver’s largest non-profit organizations. 

Our vision is a just and equitable world for women, families and allies. We advance gender equity alongside women, families, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people through advocacy and integrated services that help support personal, collective and economic well-being, providing the best start for children and creating new opportunities for education, employment and leadership.
